Political / Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud Holds Official Talks with Spanish Interior Minister and Signs Comprehensive Training Document Between the Two Countries' Interior Ministries

Madrid, Muharram 29, 1448 AH, corresponding to July 14, 2026, SPA — His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, held an official talks session today with His Excellency the Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Spain, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, in the Spanish capital Madrid. At the outset of the session, His Highness stated that the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister — may God preserve them — emphasize the continued strengthening of security cooperation with the Kingdom of Spain in a manner that serves the common interests of the two countries. During the talks session, the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Spain were reviewed, and ways to enhance security cooperation and coordination between the interior ministries of the two friendly countries were discussed, in addition to addressing several topics of mutual interest. The two sides affirmed the importance of continuing to develop bilateral cooperation in security fields, including combating crime in all its forms, tracking perpetrators, confronting drug trafficking and money laundering networks, and combating terrorism and extremism in all their forms, as well as enhancing the exchange of expertise and experiences, and developing capabilities between specialists on both sides.
