His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Prince of Tabuk Region, today launched the drill 'Response 24' at the Emirate headquarters, in the presence of representatives from government and private agencies and leaders of the National Center for Environmental Compliance (NCEC), which oversees the drill's implementation.

Adel Al-Ghamdi, Executive Director of Regional Operations at NCEC, explained that the drill is being held this year on the coasts of Tabuk Region, aiming to test the readiness of participating agencies in implementing the national plan to combat marine oil pollution.

Al-Ghamdi added that the number of participating agencies reached 42, representing environmental, security, industrial, service, and other relevant sectors.

For his part, Prince Fahd bin Sultan praised the attention of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince to human safety and environmental preservation, emphasizing the importance of training and preparedness to deal with environmental disasters and raising the level of coordination among relevant agencies.

In the same context, the Prince of Tabuk Region affirmed the support of the Emirate and all government agencies for the drill's activities, harnessing all necessary capabilities to ensure its success.
