The Governor of Tabuk Region, Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, launched the field exercise 'Response 24' from his office at the Emirate, in the presence of representatives from government and private entities, and leaders of the National Center for Environmental Compliance, which oversees the exercise.

During the launch ceremony, His Highness listened to a detailed explanation from the Executive Director of Regional Operations at the Center, Adel Al-Ghamdi, which covered the axes of the current edition of the exercise held on the coasts of Tabuk Region, and the most prominent developments in the readiness level of the participating entities under the scenario of the National Plan for Combating Marine Oil Pollution, numbering 42 entities representing various environmental, security, industrial, and service sectors.

The Governor praised the keenness of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his trusted Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman - may God protect them - on preserving human and environmental safety, conserving marine natural resources, and enacting regulations that limit environmental incidents.

His Highness stressed the importance of continuous training and professional preparedness to deal with environmental disasters, and raising the level of coordination and communication among relevant entities to ensure rapid and effective response to any emergency.

Prince Fahd bin Sultan affirmed that the Emirate of the region will provide full support for the exercise operations, and harness all available capabilities to make it successful and achieve its objectives.
