Academic and political researcher Dr. Fares Al-Bail said that 'the increasing popular anger against the Houthi group strengthens the role of Yemeni tribes.'

Al-Bail added, in an intervention to the program 'Here Riyadh' broadcast on Al-Ekhbariya channel, that 'Yemeni tribes have proven over the past years their ability to confront Houthi influence and break their siege.'

He added, 'There is a state of great discontent among the Yemeni tribes opposing the militia, and today Yemeni tribes have broken the Houthi control siege to impose a significant presence that sent a message that the popular mood in Yemen enables the tribes to overthrow those militias.'

The political researcher continued, 'The recent escalation from Yemeni tribes against the Houthi group came as a result of a series of ongoing violations that targeted the tribes, leading to an escalation of anger and confrontation, following precedents that were the first in Yemen's history of kidnapping women and imprisoning them.'

It is noted that the Houthi militias have been involved in human rights violations in Yemeni sites under their control, including incidents of execution and kidnapping, which sparked a state of popular anger against them amid demands to strengthen the role of the legitimate Yemeni government.
