His Royal Highness Prince Abdullah bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, visited the Farnborough International Airshow 2026, held in the United Kingdom.

During his visit, he met with a number of senior British officials and leaders of leading British and international companies in the defense, aviation, and space sectors to discuss opportunities for cooperation in advanced technologies, innovation, and industrial development.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, Prince Abdullah bin Khalid held talks that covered ways to enhance defense cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom, serving the common interests of the two countries and contributing to strengthening regional and international security, based on the close strategic partnership between them.

Meetings with Defense and Industry Officials

The Ambassador's meetings included a number of senior British Ministry of Defence officials, including UK National Armaments Director Robert Pierce, Director General of Industry, Trade, and Economic Security at the British Ministry of Defence Avril Jolliffe, and UK Defence Senior Adviser for the Middle East and North Africa Vice Admiral Edward Ahlgren.

He also met with officials from leading British and international companies, including BAE Systems, Eurofighter, MBDA, and Rolls-Royce, where discussions focused on technology exchange, research and innovation, and capacity development, supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and enhancing industrial partnerships between the two sides.

Strengthening Industrial and Defense Partnership

The meetings reviewed areas of existing cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Britain and explored prospects for their development and identification of new paths aligned with renewed priorities in the fields of defense and advanced industries.

His Royal Highness affirmed the Kingdom's commitment to encouraging British companies to enhance their long-term industrial presence in the Kingdom and actively participate in localization initiatives, noting that expanding cooperation in advanced technologies and innovation would enhance the competitiveness and resilience of the defense sectors of both countries and consolidate their long-standing strategic partnership.

The meetings included executives from the industrial sector, from BAE Systems, Eurofighter Typhoon, MBDA, and Rolls-Royce, where opportunities for cooperation and capacity development were discussed to serve common interests and support industrial development in the Kingdom.
