Sirens in Bahrain and Kuwait: Air Defenses Intercept Iranian Attacks
Kuwait announced today (Tuesday) that its air defenses have intercepted hostile missile and drone attacks.
The Kuwaiti Army stated in a statement: 'The General Staff of the Army notes that if the sounds of explosions are heard, they are the result of the air defense systems intercepting the hostile attacks,' urging everyone to adhere to the security and safety instructions issued by the relevant authorities.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaween, explained: 'The armed forces are dealing with the hostile attacks resulting from the Iranian aggression against the country, and they are currently being intercepted and countered.'
He added: 'The armed forces urge citizens and residents not to approach, touch, or photograph any debris or parts resulting from the fall of missiles or drones, emphasizing the necessity of not publishing or circulating any images or videos of the affected sites or debris from interception operations via social media, and the need to report them immediately by calling the emergency number (112), in order to maintain public safety and security.'
The Kuwaiti armed forces confirmed their continued performance of their duties and responsibilities with efficiency and capability, within the framework of ongoing readiness and constant preparedness, to enhance the security of the homeland and ensure the safety of citizens and residents.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior announced the sounding of the alarm in the country.
