Israeli forces advanced into areas in the countryside of the Daraa and Quneitra provinces in southwestern Syria on Friday, before withdrawing.
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that 'a force from the Israeli occupation advanced today on the road between the villages of Saisoun and Jamla in the Yarmouk Basin area in the western Daraa countryside.'
It clarified that the force, consisting of three military vehicles, carried out movements on the road between the two villages before withdrawing, with no reports of casualties.
In a separate incident, an Israeli force advanced after midnight Thursday/Friday in the village of Al-Aisha in the southern Quneitra countryside.
SANA reported that the force, consisting of more than 15 military vehicles, entered the village, stopped briefly, searched a house and a fodder warehouse, then withdrew from the area.
An Israeli force had advanced on Thursday in the village of Sayda al-Golan in the southern Quneitra countryside and set up a temporary checkpoint at its entrance before withdrawing.
There was no immediate comment from the Israeli side regarding these incursions, which come in the context of Tel Aviv's continued violations of Syria's sovereignty.
Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara has previously condemned 'the ongoing Israeli violations that undermine the security of the entire region,' calling on Israel to withdraw from the territories it occupied in southern Syria.
Al-Shara, during a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron in Damascus on Tuesday, said: 'The basis of true stability requires an international commitment to force Israel to return to the 1974 Disengagement Agreement and to fully withdraw from the areas it occupied after December 8, 2024.'
Southern Syrian areas have witnessed for months repeated Israeli incursions and attacks, including raids, searches, arrests, and the establishment of military checkpoints.
These movements escalated after the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad's regime in December 2024, and Israel's declaration of the collapse of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement and its seizure of the Syrian buffer zone.
