Three children and a woman among 15 killed in Gaza since Saturday amid fears of a 'Yellow Line' expansion

Medical sources in Gaza Strip hospitals reported that the death toll since Saturday has risen to fifteen, including three children and a woman, as Israeli military shelling and ground incursions intensify, particularly in the Zeitoun neighborhood southeast of Gaza City.

The intensive Israeli shelling across various parts of the Strip has struck residential apartments, groups of residents, and tents for the displaced. Airstrikes concentrated on various areas of Gaza City, causing widespread material damage and severe panic among residents, especially children and women. The Zeitoun neighborhood witnessed the displacement of dozens of families since last night.

For his part, Gaza Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal announced that Israeli artillery shelling targeted a tent housing displaced people in the eastern part of the Zeitoun neighborhood yesterday evening. Citizens managed to recover the body of a woman from the targeted site, while 3 people remain missing in the vicinity of the area subjected to direct artillery fire.

Areas in the Tuffah neighborhood, as well as the central and southern governorates, were also subjected to Israeli artillery shelling.

In the Nasr neighborhood west of Gaza City, Israeli fighter jets bombed a residential apartment at dawn today, resulting in a number of injuries, some of which are critical, according to sources at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

What happened on Saturday?

Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip on Saturday resulted in the death of 11 people, including three children, their mother, and their father.

The fourth child, the only survivor from this family, was outside the house in the north of Gaza City at the time of the Israeli attack, according to a spokesperson for the Civil Defense in the Strip.

On the other hand, an Israeli army spokesperson said that an attack carried out in Gaza City targeted a "Hamas terrorist," adding that the army was still assessing the outcome of the attack.
