US President Donald Trump threatened Iran on Monday that it will pay a 'multiplied price' every time American soldiers are killed, following Washington's announcement of three additional military deaths and a fourth soldier missing during weekend operations.

Trump wrote on his 'Truth Social' platform: 'Every time Iran kills an American soldier, they will pay a multiplied price for it,' confirming that 'Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Daniel Kain, and all military commanders have been notified of this directive.'

The Trump administration earlier Monday identified two soldiers who died in a military operation last week. The US Department of Defense reported that First Lieutenant Tyler James Vehan (25) from Ewa Beach, Hawaii, and Private Isabella Gonzalez (19) from Carrollton, Texas, were killed in Jordan while supporting a US mission against ISIS. The circumstances of their deaths remain unclear, according to the Associated Press.

The US Central Command had announced Saturday the deaths of two soldiers in Jordan while repelling Iranian attacks with ballistic missiles and drones. The following day, the same command announced the death of an American soldier in northern Iraq from an explosion of unexploded ordnance from a downed Iranian drone, while another soldier sustained minor injuries and is receiving treatment.

The US military confirmed that its total casualties in confrontations with Iran have reached 17 so far.

In response, Iran on Monday affirmed that it is in an 'all-out war' with the United States, while Washington expanded its strikes to include the city of Bushehr, which houses a nuclear power plant. Tehran continued targeting Gulf countries and Jordan, and claimed responsibility for attacking two oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz.

Iranian media reported that several sites in the southwestern city of Bushehr were hit by US strikes, while a local official indicated an airstrike targeted two military positions in the city of Khormuj in Bushehr province. Iranian television quoted the deputy governor of Fars as saying a US strike targeted an area in the city of Shiraz in central Iran without causing casualties, confirming that 'the situation is under control.'
