The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the practical training of Libyan naval personnel while sailing, within the framework of cooperation between the two countries.

The ministry said in a post on its account on the Turkish platform 'In Social' that the exercises were carried out by the frigate 'Giresun'.

It added that the exercises took place within the framework of training, assistance and consultation activities between the two countries.

It indicated that the exercises took place between July 12 and 15 this year.

Libya and Turkey are bound by several security, military and economic agreements signed in recent years.
