Two people were injured on Friday in a drone strike by an Israeli unmanned aircraft on a truck in the Nabatieh district, part of four attacks that targeted towns in southern Lebanon.

The attacks included burning of houses, demolition operations, and a stun grenade toss, according to the Lebanese National News Agency and monitored by Anadolu as of 06:45 GMT.

These attacks come despite Lebanon and Israel signing a 'framework agreement' under US auspices on June 26, 2026, which states the two sides' intention to end the conflict between them and address its root causes.

In the Nabatieh district, an Israeli drone targeted a truck while it was unloading waste at the outskirts of the towns of Shoukin and Kfardjal, resulting in two injuries.

In the Marjeyoun district, the Israeli army set a number of houses on fire in the town of Qantara.

In the same district, the army continued extensive demolition operations inside the town of Khiam, where successive explosions were heard shaking the area.

In the Tyre district, an Israeli drone dropped a stun grenade in the vicinity of the town of Mansouri in the morning.

These developments come a day after the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) warned that the situation in the south of the country remains 'fragile,' despite a decrease in violence since late June, affirming its continued enhancement of operational activities to support stability.

Since March 2, Israel has been waging an aggression on Lebanon against the backdrop of the war with Iran, resulting in 4,321 killed and 12,204 injured as of July 9, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

Israel continues to occupy areas in southern Lebanon, some for decades, others since the war between 2023 and 2024, while it advanced more than 10 kilometers into Lebanese territory during the latest aggression.
