(CNN)-- The US Navy announced it has suspended search operations for one of its missing personnel after a helicopter crash in the Arabian Sea on Wednesday.

The Naval Forces Central Command stated in a statement on X that the efforts ended after an extensive search operation carried out by the US Navy and US Air Force.

The Navy added: 'Over more than 102 hours, a wide and coordinated search and rescue operation was conducted covering an area of over 14,000 square miles.'

On Wednesday, the US military announced that an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter from the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush crashed in the area, and that 'there is no indication the incident was the result of hostile action.'

The military clarified that three of the four crew members were recovered at the time and are in stable condition, adding that the incident is under investigation. It did not provide further details on the cause of the crash.

The Naval Forces Central Command announced on Sunday that it would withhold the name of the missing soldier for at least 24 hours after notifying family.
