(CNN)-- Accounts circulated a video clip on social media, claiming it shows the moment of blowing up the bridge linking the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain.

CNN Arabic's fact-check revealed that the video is old and is not related to the current military escalation developments in the region between the United States and Iran.
By breaking the video into still frames and using reverse image search, it was found that it was first published on October 8, 2022, during an explosion that caused severe damage to the only bridge connecting the Crimean Peninsula to Russian territory.
The video at the time of its first publication on CNN Arabic website on October 8, 2022, during the explosion of the bridge linking Crimea to Russian territory.
At that time, CNN reported the video, explaining that the explosion caused part of the road on the Kerch Bridge to collapse, a road and rail bridge inaugurated by Putin himself in 2018. Russian officials then, citing preliminary information, reported the deaths of at least three people in the explosion.

The video's re-circulation coincided with the United States continuing to strike Iran, while Tehran resumed its attacks on America's Gulf allies. Last night witnessed the seventh consecutive round of US nightly strikes against Iran this week.
It is noted that the video was previously used to promote the same claims at the beginning of the war last March.
