The Palestinian Health Ministry said 'the death toll in the town of Tel southwest of Nablus has risen to 4 martyrs and 4 injuries, 3 of them critical'.

Security and local sources confirmed that settlers attacked homes in the town, firing towards the houses of Karim Abdel Monem Ramadan and Khaled Saeed Ramadan.

The sources added that Israeli army forces stormed the town simultaneously with the attack, firing live ammunition, resulting in casualties.

For its part, the Israeli army announced in a statement that it sent forces to an area near Havat Gilad after what it claimed was an 'attack on Israelis who were hiking in the area', and imposed a siege on Nablus and the town of Tel in the West Bank.

The army claimed that Palestinians seized the weapon of a security guard and opened fire on Israelis near Havat Gilad.

Channel 13 reported that Palestinians 'seized' the weapon of a security officer from the settlement of Havat Gilad and opened fire on settlers, 'resulting in the killing of an Israeli and the injury of 3 others'.

The channel claimed that a number of Israeli settlers 'were walking near the village of Tel and its mosque and were attacked by Palestinians, prompting the settlement's security guard to intervene, after which Palestinians seized the guard's weapon and opened fire'.

Channel 12 reported the deployment of Israeli army forces and the 'imposition of a security cordon' on the area.

The newspaper 'Maariv' reported that the head of the West Bank Regional Council, Yossi Dagan, arrived at the scene.

The newspaper quoted Dagan as affirming his determination to 'continue building, developing, and strengthening settlement' in the West Bank, in violation of international law.

He threatened, saying: 'Anyone who tries to harm us should know that he will face Samaria (the Jewish name for the West Bank) stronger and wider'.

This is the second consecutive day that the West Bank witnesses a security incident and clashes resulting in deaths and injuries on both sides due to settler attacks.

On Thursday, the Broadcasting Authority reported that a settler was seriously injured in a 'stabbing incident', after clashes erupted between Israelis and Palestinians on a farm near the settlement of 'Alon Moreh', built on Palestinian land near the town of Beit Furik.

It added that the Israeli army 'opened fire on two Palestinians', without further details.

Anadolu correspondent reported that two other Palestinians were injured by Israeli army fire during clashes that broke out after settlers set fires on agricultural land east of Nablus.

Local sources told Anadolu that settlers set fire to land between the towns of Salem, Beit Furik, and Beit Dajan, causing flames to spread towards citizens' homes, prompting residents to try to extinguish the fires.

They added that the Israeli army fired towards Palestinians, causing injuries, before later announcing the killing of two Palestinians and the confiscation of their bodies.

The Palestinian Red Crescent confirmed that its crews treated two gunshot wounds to the abdomen during the Israeli army forces' storming of Beit Furik town, and they were transferred to hospital for treatment.

The Palestinian Health Ministry announced in a statement on Friday 'the martyrdom of 86 Palestinians in the West Bank by Israeli gunfire, including 21 at the hands of settlers, since the beginning of the year 2026'.

The West Bank has witnessed an escalation in Israeli incursions and arrests since the start of the genocide in the Gaza Strip in October 2023, and the army and settler attacks have resulted in the killing of 1,182 Palestinians and the arrest of about 24,000, according to official data.

The town of Tel is among the villages around Nablus that witness an increase in settler attacks. This incident is the latest in a series of bloody confrontations in the West Bank, where the scenario of settler attacks followed by army incursions is repeated. The killing of the settler may push Israeli authorities to tighten military measures in the area. On the other hand, Palestinian factions continue their calls for resistance, heralding a wider escalation.
