In a shocking incident that shook Morocco, security authorities in the city of Dakhla opened an investigation into a horrific murder that claimed the life of a 9-year-old child, after arresting a 24-year-old man suspected of committing the crime of premeditated murder with intent and deliberation, in addition to mutilating the victim's body.

According to local media reports, security forces moved after receiving a report from the child's father about his son's disappearance under mysterious circumstances, before initial investigations led to suspicion of the uncle's involvement in luring him and assaulting him with a bladed weapon.
