ZATCA Records 1,057 Smuggling Cases at Land, Sea, and Air Customs Ports
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) reported 1,057 seizures of prohibited items at customs ports, including 121 types of drugs, 374 prohibited substances, 2,264 tobacco products, 39 monetary items, and 6 weapons, urging public cooperation via reporting channels.
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) recorded 1,057 seizures of prohibited items at land, sea, and air customs ports, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance customs control and protect society from various prohibited materials.
The seized items included 121 types of drugs, including hashish, cocaine, heroin, shabu, and Captagon pills, as well as 374 types of prohibited substances.
Customs ports also thwarted the smuggling of 2,264 types of tobacco and its derivatives, in addition to 39 items related to monetary amounts, and 6 types of weapons and their accessories.
ZATCA affirmed its commitment to tightening customs control over the Kingdom’s imports and exports, through continuous cooperation and coordination with all partner agencies, to achieve community safety and protection.
The authority called on citizens and residents to contribute to combating smuggling by contacting it via the security reporting hotline (1910), email ([email protected]), or international number (009661910), noting that all reports are handled with complete confidentiality, and a financial reward is given to the informant if the information is correct.
