3 Saudi victories highlight PFL MENA competitions in Riyadh
Saudi fighters secured three wins at the PFL MENA event in Riyadh, with the semifinal lineup set for October 2.
Saudi fighters achieved three victories in the Professional Fighters League Middle East and North Africa (PFL MENA) competitions held in Riyadh in front of a notable audience, as the list of qualifiers for the semifinals, which will also be hosted by Riyadh on October 2, was completed.
Saudi female fighter Hattan Al-Saif dominated the scene, defeating Algeria's Dania Ouhachi by technical knockout in the second round, marking a successful debut in her first professional appearance amid widespread fan interaction.
Saudi fighter Malik Basahi continued his undefeated streak, winning by unanimous decision over Morocco's Imad Al-Azzami, while Saudi fighter Saud Al-Mulham achieved victory by the same method over Egypt's Abdelhalim Al-Hofi in his first participation under the league.
In the main co-event, Jordan's Hazem Al-Kilani advanced to the welterweight semifinals after winning by unanimous decision over Lebanon's Hassan Shabaan, joining Morocco's Badreddine Diani, Algeria's Abdelkrim Zouad, and Palestine's Omar Hussein.
In the featherweight division, Algeria's Elias Boudegzam and Syria's Shadi Qabbani qualified for the semifinals, while Algeria's Rayan Othmani finished his fight against Egypt's Islam Mustafa by knockout in the first round, thus completing the list of eight qualifiers.
Hattan Al-Saif confirmed that winning her first professional bout represents an important start to her career, pointing out that the knockout victory gave her motivation to continue working and improving, and to deliver better performances in upcoming competitions.
For his part, Malik Basahi explained that his goal is to develop his level from one fight to the next, appreciating the fan support that helped motivate him to achieve the win.
Saud Al-Mulham noted that achieving his first victory in front of the Riyadh audience is a moment he cherishes, emphasizing that representing the Kingdom is a responsibility that drives him to continue improving and to give his best in future participations.
