NEOM's first football team will play five friendly matches during its ongoing camp in Spain, as part of its preparations for the new season, according to the club's announcement on Wednesday. NEOM begins its friendly fixtures against English side Peterborough United next Friday, followed five days later by a match against Spanish club Granada, then faces South Africa's Orlando Pirates on July 24, a fourth match against Qatar's Al-Arabi on July 27, and concludes with a meeting with Spanish side Las Palmas on July 31. The NEOM camp in Spain lasts about three weeks and includes intensive training sessions in the morning and evening under the leadership of French coach Christophe Galtier. NEOM is gearing up for a new season in which it will compete in the Saudi Roshn League, the King's Cup, in addition to the Gulf Club Champions League.
