After More Than 20 Years, Mustafa Malaeeka Still Present in Roshn League
In an era when many stars of his generation have left the green rectangle, goalkeeper Mustafa Malaeeka continues to write new chapters of his career, after Abha Club announced his signing to be one of the team's elements in the season of return to the Roshn League.
This deal is not just a player moving from one club to another, but confirms that experience remains a rare currency in football, and that goalkeeping remains a position where differences are made by the mind before reactions.

Malaeeka, who began his professional journey more than two decades ago, moved between Al-Ansar, Al-Ittihad, Hajer, Al-Faisaly, Al-Fateh, Al-Shabab, and Neom, and managed to leave his mark wherever he went, becoming one of the most respected goalkeepers in the sports community with his calmness, steadiness, and discipline. Perhaps the most inspiring station of his career was with the Saudi national team; he received his first call-up to represent the Green in 2006, but the dream of international participation was only realized in 2018 against Brazil, after a 12-year wait, in a story that encapsulates the meaning of patience and belief in opportunity no matter how late it arrives.
He was also a partner in Hajer's promotion to the Professional League, and contributed to Al-Ittihad's local titles, before experiencing one of his most prominent stations with Al-Faisaly, when he led the team to win the King's Cup in 2021, and won the Best Goalkeeper award in the Professional League for February 2022.
Today, as he turns forty, Mustafa Malaeeka proves that age in football is not an abstract number, but an accumulating experience, a maturing personality, and confidence given to those who maintain their performance year after year.
With Abha, a new page begins in the career of a goalkeeper who was never the loudest, but was always one of the most present and steady goalkeepers, as he continues his journey, affirming that true successes are not measured by the number of years, but by the ability to continue when everyone thinks the journey is over.
