The management of Abha Club has signed Mustafa Malaeeka to strengthen the first football team, preparing for the upcoming sports season, as the goalkeeper begins the eighth station of his career. The 40-year-old goalkeeper joins the southern team after the end of his experience with Neom, whom he left at the end of last season, after being in their squad for the past two seasons. Malaeeka started his career with Al-Ansar, then moved to Al-Ittihad, then to Hajer, then to Al-Faisaly, Al-Fateh, and Al-Shabab on loan, and then to Neom, making Abha the eighth club represented by the veteran goalkeeper during his career. His stint with Al-Faisaly was the longest and most prominent in his journey, as he defended the team's colors from 2016 until 2022, playing 142 matches in the Saudi Professional League, and winning the King Cup with them in the 2020-2021 season. Malaeeka moved to Al-Fateh in the summer of 2022, before a brief spell with Al-Shabab during the second half of the 2023-2024 season, where he played in nine league matches, then joined Neom in July 2024, and contributed with his experience in the season the team was promoted to the Roshn League.
