After World Cup Magic, English Club Bids for Quiñones
Al-Qadsiah has received a €25 million offer from Aston Villa for Mexican striker Julian Quiñones, but the Saudi club is reluctant to sell the 29-year-old ahead of the AFC Champions League Elite.
Reports have revealed a new surprise regarding the possible departure of Mexican Julian Quiñones from Saudi club Al-Qadsiah during the current summer transfer window.
The player's name had been linked with a move to Chelsea in recent days, before British journalist Ben Jacobs denied those reports. Read details.
Saudi newspaper Al Youm reported on Saturday evening that Al-Qadsiah had received an offer from English club Aston Villa to secure the services of the Mexican striker.
It stated that Aston Villa made an offer worth €25 million, but Al-Qadsiah has not yet made a decision.
Other Saudi reports confirmed that Al-Qadsiah does not intend to let go of the 29-year-old veteran striker, especially as the team faces tough challenges, most notably the AFC Champions League Elite.
Quiñones had caught the eye with Mexico in the World Cup, scoring 4 goals and providing an assist, but his country's journey ended in the round of 16 against England after a 3-2 defeat.
