Agreement Reached: Barcelona to Sign Rising Belgian Star
Spanish club Barcelona has reached an agreement with Belgian side Club Brugge to sign their young winger, following negotiations that lasted more than six months, according to Catalan newspaper 'Sport'.
In the end, the two clubs agreed on the transfer of Belgian winger Jessy Bisiwu for around 10 million euros, with Brugge retaining 30% of any future transfer fee for the player.

Brugge eventually gave in, despite Bisiwu's contract running until 2027, after the player expressed a strong desire to wear the Barcelona shirt and refused to renew his contract.
The Catalan club considers the deal a strategic investment for the future, as they believe the player has the potential to become a world-class star, thanks to his great speed, technical skills, and ability to make a difference.
Journalist Sacha Tavolieri confirmed that the agreement between Barcelona and Brugge is final, and procedures have been accelerated in the last few hours. Official documents are currently being prepared, and Bisiwu is expected to travel to Barcelona next week for a medical examination before joining the first team's camp in preparation for the new season.
World Cup discoveries
The Belgian player will play for the reserve team, but he will also participate with the first team under coach Hansi Flick, as part of the club's plan to accelerate his development.
Bisiwu impressed Barcelona officials greatly during his recent participation with the Belgian national team in the Under-20 World Cup held in Qatar. There, he caught the attention of the Catalan club's scouts, along with Hamza Abdul Karim, whom Barcelona also managed to sign.
Bisiwu excels as an outright left winger, characterized by great speed and exceptional ability in one-on-one situations (1 vs 1). Barcelona officials believe he has the qualities to become one of the world's top football stars in the coming years.
Barcelona knew that signing Bisiwu would not be an easy task, but they considered him a strategic goal for the future, so the entire coaching staff participated in efforts to convince the player and negotiate with Club Brugge.
Difficult season
Bisiwu had a difficult season due to injuries, in addition to reduced playing time with Brugge since he refused to renew his contract. Despite receiving offers from several Premier League clubs, he made his decision months ago to choose Barcelona to continue developing his career, according to 'Sport'.
Once the deal is completed, it will become Barcelona's biggest investment in a reserve team player, as part of the club's policy to stay ahead of competition in the transfer market and sign the most prominent talents, with a view to promoting them to the first team in the future.
