The chances of Brazilian winger Wenderson Galeno playing for Al-Ahli against Austrian side Bischofshofen Zell am See at 6:30 PM on Saturday, in the Jeddah club's first friendly match of their external camp, have diminished due to lack of readiness, according to a private source for Al-Riyadiya. The same source indicated that the club's medical staff wants Galeno to complete his rehabilitation program before joining team training, after returning from an injury involving a lateral ligament tear and cartilage in his right foot suffered against Al-Nassr in round 30 of the Saudi Roshn League at the end of last April. The source added that the friendly will see the first appearance of Armenian Eduard Spertsyan and Gambian Aboubakar Sidi, who were signed this summer, while the foreign duo Turkish Merih Demiral and Brazilian Roger Ibañez will be absent after being given exceptional leave following their participation with their national teams in the World Cup. Al-Ahli players continue their daily training at the Austria camp, which began a week ago in the city of Zell am See, under the supervision of German Matthias Jaissle, before traveling on July 16 to Portugal to start the second phase of the camp until the 28th of the same month. Al-Ahli will face German side Holstein Kiel on July 15, then Portuguese side Rio Ave on July 19, and will play Vitória Guimarães on July 24, before playing two matches on the same day, July 28, against Portuguese side Portimonense at 1:00 PM and English side Fulham at 8:00 PM. After returning from its preparatory camp, which spans two phases in Austria and Portugal, Al-Ahli will face fellow Saudi side Abha on August 6.
