Al-Ahli's management has entered into negotiations with Italian club Roma, aiming to sign French player Manu Koné during the current summer transfer window.
The Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport reported that Al-Ahli will compete with Spanish club Atletico Madrid and English club Manchester United to sign the 25-year-old Koné in the coming period, as Manchester United is preparing to sign the player by offering an amount of €50 million.
Koné, who shone with France in the recent World Cup, has played 82 matches for Roma, scoring four goals and providing six assists. He previously played for German club Borussia Mönchengladbach before moving to the Italian league, and he began his career at French club Toulouse.
