Turkish media reports have revealed that Colombian defender Davinson Sanchez, a Galatasaray player, has entered Al-Ahli's radar as part of the club's moves to bolster the squad during the current summer transfer window.

The Turkish site HT Spor stated that Al-Ahli's management has placed Sanchez on the list of candidates to strengthen the backline, as the club seeks to reinforce its ranks with experienced players ahead of the new season.

Al-Ahli's management aims to secure quality deals to maintain the team's strength and continue competing in all domestic and continental tournaments, especially after the successes achieved in the recent past, in addition to targeting the recovery of the Saudi Roshn League title, which has been absent from the club's trophy cabinet for several seasons.

In a related context, circulating sources revealed the classifications of clubs participating in the draw for the AFC Champions League Elite for the 2026-2027 season, scheduled to be held on August 18 in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.

Saudi Al-Ahli topped the first classification, alongside UAE's Al-Ain, Qatar's Al-Sadd, and Iran's Esteghlal, making it one of the strongest contenders for the continental title.

On the other hand, Al-Ahli's management decided to postpone the official announcement of the new kits for next season, which was scheduled for today coinciding with the conclusion of the World Cup competitions, following a request from the main sponsor to make adjustments related to the sponsorship company before the official unveiling.
