In a special sporting evening that embodied the spirit of partnership and integration between sports institutions, the Al-Ahsa Disability Club hosted the signing ceremony of a cooperation and partnership agreement with the Saudi Karate Federation, a qualitative step aimed at supporting para-karate, expanding its practitioner base, and creating a more inclusive and empowering sports environment for people with disabilities.

The ceremony began with a speech by the club’s board of directors, delivered by board member Dr. Ali bin Hassan Al-Dhiyab, who emphasized that this partnership represents an extension of the club’s approach to building strategic relationships with sports federations, contributing to the development of training programs, refining talents, and raising the level of sports competition, in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to support and empower athletes with disabilities.

Poet Hamad bin Abdul Samad Al-Hamad added a distinctive national atmosphere by reciting a poem expressing pride in the development of Saudi sports and the attention and care given to para-karate champions. The ceremony witnessed the main event: the signing of the cooperation and partnership contract between the Saudi Karate Federation and the Al-Ahsa Disability Club, represented by His Excellency Dr. Mushref bin Ali Al-Shahri, President of the Saudi Karate Federation, and Mr. Ahmed bin Saad Al-Maghribi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, in an agreement reflecting the joint direction to promote the spread of para-karate, provide specialized training and rehabilitation programs, and support players' participation in various local and international tournaments. After the signing ceremony, club player and Saudi para-karate national team member Hamad bin Abdul Samad Al-Hamad gave an outstanding kata performance, reflecting the technical level achieved by the club's players and highlighting the promising potential of this sport.

For his part, Dr. Mushref bin Ali Al-Shahri affirmed in his speech that the Saudi Karate Federation places great importance on para-karate and works to develop it according to the highest technical standards, praising the pioneering role of the Al-Ahsa Disability Club in discovering talents and creating champions, and appreciating the efforts of the club’s board of directors and staff. In a motivational gesture, Dr. Mushref bin Ali Al-Shahri, accompanied by Mr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Juwasim, the supervisor of karate in the Eastern Province and Al-Ahsa, distributed yellow belts to the players, a scene that reflected the spirit of encouragement and motivation, and reinforced the values of perseverance and discipline on which karate is based.

The ceremony concluded with a group photo of federation officials, club management, guests, and players, followed by a dinner banquet held for the occasion, in an atmosphere of camaraderie and mutual appreciation. This cooperation affirms that the real investment in sports begins with building effective partnerships and uniting efforts between clubs and federations, ensuring the sustainability of achievements and opening broader horizons for para-karate players to achieve more successes and raise the nation's flag in regional and international forums.
