Al-Fayhaa Club announced the departure of nine players from the first football team at the end of their contracts, including Englishman Chris Smalling and Algerian Yassine Benzia, while renewing contracts with the team's top scorer Fashion Scala and captain Mohammed Al-Baqawi. Al-Fayhaa is preparing for the new season with an external camp in the Netherlands under the leadership of Brazilian coach Fabio Cari.

Al-Fayhaa Club announced the departure of 9 players from its first football team following the expiration of their contracts just before the start of the next season 2026-2027.

The club revealed through its official account on the 'X' platform the list of departures, which includes: Englishman Chris Smalling, Algerian Yassine Benzia, Frenchman Jérémie Canon, Cypriot Stylianos Frontis, Venezuelan Miguel Villanueva, as well as Saudi players Abdullah Radif, Abdullah Al-Jouei, Abdulrahman Al-Anzi, and Rakan Kaabi.

In contrast, Al-Fayhaa renewed its contract with the team's top scorer Fashion Scala and captain Mohammed Al-Baqawi, as part of the management's keenness to retain distinguished elements.

Al-Fayhaa looks forward to appearing in a different way in the upcoming season, which kicks off on August 13 in the Saudi Professional League (Roshn), especially after appointing Brazilian Fabio Cari as head coach.

In preparation for the new season, the team will hold an external camp in the Netherlands from July 18 to August 4.
