Dutch winger Steven Bergwijn, of Al-Ittihad's first football team, joins the external camp in Marbella, Spain, as part of the second stage of preparations for the new season. Bergwijn missed the training sessions that began on Tuesday due to undergoing a rehabilitation program in Amsterdam, the Dutch capital, after suffering a sprain of the internal knee ligament. The club clarified via its official account on platform X that the Dutch winger has entered the final week of his rehabilitation program, and will join the team's training during its preparatory camp in Marbella. The Marbella camp starts on July 14 and continues until July 31, and includes playing several friendly matches, one of which is against South Africa's Orlando Pirates on July 21. The Al-Ittihad team had launched the first stage of preparations on Tuesday after returning from the vacation that lasted since the end of last season. On the first day of preparations, the players were divided into two groups: the first underwent medical examinations at the International Medical Center, the club's medical partner, while the second group performed physical tests in the club's fitness room.
