Saudi club Al-Nassr has entered a sensitive phase administratively and financially recently, after reports revealed a liquidity crisis that affected a number of important files within the club, whether related to the first football team or other administrative aspects.

According to the Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiyah, the management of Al-Nassr Club Company is facing financial pressures that led to the suspension of some decisions and steps that were expected to be finalized before the start of the new season.

The crisis extended to the salaries file, as the source clarified that a number of first-team players received their June salary partially, while the administration is currently working to secure the remaining amounts and disburse them in the coming period.

The source pointed out that the weak financial liquidity also affected the club's moves in the transfer market, especially regarding signing a foreign player to compensate for the departure of Croatian Marcelo Brozovic.

He added that Al-Nassr's management has not yet entered into any formal negotiations for a replacement for Brozovic, despite the team's technical need to strengthen the midfield, due to waiting for the financial picture to become clearer before moving on the file.

Al-Nassr had announced last Monday the end of Brozovic's journey with the team after his contract ended, making the midfield one of the most prominent positions that the technical staff seeks to strengthen during the summer transfer period.

Al-Nassr is preparing for the new season under the leadership of Australian coach Ange Postecoglou, who hopes to continue successes after the team won the Saudi Roshn League title last season.

Al-Alami awaits a busy season with four major competitions including the Saudi Roshn League, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup, the Saudi Super Cup, and the AFC Champions League Elite, making the resolution of financial and technical files a top priority before the start of official competitions.
