AC Milan announced today the renewal of its contract with Croatian star Luka Modric, keeping the midfield leader in the Rossoneri colors for an additional season.

The club revealed the decision on its official X account, posting a picture of Modric with the caption: "The future still bears his name... Luka's story with the Rossoneri continues."

Milan did not disclose the financial details of the new contract, but the renewal crowns the impressive performances the Croatian international has delivered since joining the team and his leadership role on and off the pitch, despite turning 40.

Modric joined Milan in the summer of 2025 from Real Madrid on a free transfer, after a historic spell with the Spanish club, quickly establishing himself as one of the key pillars in coach Massimiliano Allegri's lineup.

Milan relies on Modric's vast experience to compete for the Serie A title and the Champions League next season, as he has become one of the most influential figures in the dressing room and a reference point for the young talents in the team.
