Al-Fayhaa officially announced on Wednesday the signing of Brazilian Hugo Moura to strengthen the first football team's midfield, coming from Vasco da Gama on a contract extending until 2028. The signing ceremony with Brazilian Moura (28 years old) took place at the team's training camp in the Dutch city of Zaltbommel, in the presence of Dr. Tawfiq Al-Mudaiheem, Chairman of the Board of Directors. In statements reported by the club's official website, Moura expressed his happiness at joining Al-Fayhaa, emphasizing his eagerness to embark on this new experience and to exert maximum effort with his teammates to help achieve the team's aspirations in the coming period. Brazilian Hugo Moura progressed through the youth categories at Flamengo, reaching the first team in 2018, and spent two seasons with them, playing 31 matches, scoring one goal, and providing one assist. He then had two loan spells with Coritiba and Athletico Paranaense before moving to Vasco da Gama in 2024. During his time with Vasco da Gama, Moura played 119 matches, scoring four goals and providing seven assists, according to statistics from the global site 'Transfermarkt'. At the international level, Moura represented Brazilian youth national teams without having the opportunity to wear the senior national team jersey.
