Al-Qadsiah Club extended the contractual relationship with Ahmed Al-Kassar, the first team goalkeeper, until 2029, as announced on Monday evening. Al-Kassar joined the eastern club at the beginning of 2024 and represented it in seven official matches, with the coaching staff relying on Belgian Koen Casteels as the starting goalkeeper. The 35-year-old goalkeeper signed a new contract on Monday at the club's headquarters in Al-Khobar, extending until 2029. Al-Qadsiah is preparing for the new season in Spain under the leadership of Northern Irish coach Brendan Rodgers. So far, Al-Kassar has not joined the team as he is on leave after returning from Saudi Arabia's participation in the 2026 World Cup. The international goalkeeper previously played for teams Al-Raed, Al-Ettifaq, Al-Faisaly, and Al-Fayha before joining Al-Qadsiah in the 2023-2024 season, which ended with his return to the Saudi Roshn League. Last May, Al-Riyadiya revealed, via its website, that Al-Qadsiah had agreed with Al-Kassar to extend his contract.
