A private source told Al-Riyadiyah that Al-Nassr has the priority to bring back Khalid Al-Ghannam, winger of Al-Ettifaq's first football team, or receive 25 percent of the transfer value if he moves to any other club, according to a tripartite agreement in January 2024. This comes as Al-Ghannam is close to wearing the Al-Ittihad jersey after the two parties reached an agreement for the international winger's transfer to the Jeddah-based club, according to other private sources for Al-Riyadiyah. The same source clarified that if Al-Nassr wishes to bring back Al-Ghannam, it must pay 75 percent of the amount agreed upon between Al-Ettifaq and the new club. The source explained that if Al-Nassr ignores the player's return, it will receive its entitled share of 25 percent of the deal, with the capital club having only 48 hours to respond after receiving the notification. Al-Ghannam (25 years old) is tied to a contract with Al-Ettifaq until June 30, 2028. Al-Ghannam participated in 20 matches with Al-Ettifaq last season, scoring 13 goals and providing seven assists, contributing to 20 goals.
