(CNN)-- The Egyptian Football Association announced on its social media accounts on Saturday that police officers in Dallas, Texas, bid farewell to the 'Pharaohs' national team delegation before its departure to Atlanta.
The police officers made a point of shaking hands with head coach Hossam Hassan and administrative director Ibrahim Hassan, exchanging greetings with them.
The Egyptian Federation said the police officers "presented Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan with the police badge designed for securing the World Cup, as an expression of their appreciation for the twins. These golden security badges were specially designed to celebrate the police's participation in securing this global event."
A dispute occurred before the Australia match between Ibrahim Hassan and police officers due to a child trying to cross the security barrier inside the Egyptian team's hotel, and security personnel prevented him. This prompted Hassan to intervene, leading to the altercation with the police officer.
The 'Pharaohs' delegation had recently arrived in Atlanta after a two-hour flight to face Argentina in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on July 7.
