Angers is a football club based in the city of Angers in western France, founded in 1919, and plays its matches at the Raymond Kopa Stadium. Angers has won the French second division twice (in 1969 and 1976) and lost a final to Nîmes Olympique. It has participated in the first division for 28 seasons and reached the French Cup final on two occasions, one in 1957 losing 3–6 to Toulouse, and the other in 2017 losing 1–0 to Paris Saint-Germain. Angers reached the French Cup final twice, losing to Toulouse FC in 1957 (3/6), and in the 2017 season, suffered a defeat against against Paris Saint-Germain by a goal to nil.
