Riyadh's first football team achieved a 1-1 draw against Austrian counterpart Spartak Koornenburg on Thursday evening, in their second friendly match held during their preparatory camp for the new football season. The first half ended with the Austrian team leading 1-0, before Portuguese striker Leandro Antonis scored the equalizer for the Saudi team in the second half.

These preparatory matches come as part of clubs' efforts to enhance the physical and technical readiness of players before the start of official competitions.

These friendly matches are of great importance for the technical staff to assess the players' levels and try out different elements. The stability of the technical management led by Brazilian coach Mauricio Dulac is a key element to ensure harmony within the team. The match against Qatari side Al-Gharafa will be the final test for the 'Madrasat al-Wusta' squad before returning to the Kingdom and continuing preparations for the new season.
