Italian Simone Inzaghi, head coach of Al Hilal first football team, has requested from the sports management to strengthen the Blue's ranks by signing a foreign right back from the Mawaleed category, according to sources close to Al Riyadiya. The same sources stated that Al Hilal management is studying several options to bolster the right-back position, as it is deliberating between signing a Mawaleed right back alongside a local right back, or settling for signing only one player, according to the technical needs and the final squad list. The sources indicated that the file is still under study, with the final decision to be made in the coming days, after completing the technical discussions between the coaching staff and the sports management, in preparation for the new season. On Saturday, Al Hilal launched the first phase of preparations for the new season in Riyadh under the supervision of their Italian coach Simone Inzaghi. Al Hilal will play four friendly matches during their external camp, starting with a match against Austrian side Sturm Graz on July 19, then South African side Mamelodi Sundowns on July 24, followed five days later by a match against Algerian side MC Alger, and concluding the camp with a match against Qatar's Al Ahli on August 3. Al Hilal faces three challenges in the new season: the Saudi Roshn League, the King Cup, and the AFC Champions League Elite.
