First appearance of Hamza Abdelkarim at Barcelona headquarters after World Cup participation

(CNN)-- Egyptian striker Hamza Abdelkarim has joined the ranks of Spanish club Barcelona to participate in the preparatory phase for the upcoming 2027/2026 season, under the leadership of head coach Hansi Flick.
The Catalan club published on its account on the 'X' platform, Monday, video footage showing its players, including Hamza Abdelkarim, undergoing medical examinations before returning to the fields.
The club, active in the La Liga competition, said that the first training session for Hamza Abdelkarim and his teammates will be tomorrow, Tuesday, at Barcelona's sports city.
The 18-year-old striker joined the Catalan club days after the end of his participation with the Egyptian national team in the 2026 World Cup.
Hamza Abdelkarim appeared in 4 matches during the current World Cup, held on American, Canadian, and Mexican soil, as a substitute with an average playing time of 57 minutes.
The Pharaohs reached the round of 16 for the first time in their history of participation in the world's biggest tournaments.
