Arabs in the World Cup
Before the start of the World Cup currently being held in the United States of America, Mexico, and Canada, we were singing about it being the 'World Cup of the Arabs' given the presence of eight Arab teams out of 48 participating teams from around the world, divided into four teams from Asia and four from Africa, specifically North Africa. But after the Arab teams were eliminated one after another from the groups first, represented by six teams whose participation was titled 'no one succeeded', the Saudi team, although their results were logical given they played three matches, losing one against Spain, one of the biggest contenders for the title, and drawing two matches, the anger of the Saudi public was not only because of that but also due to the weak levels the team showed in the three matches, where there was no spirit, no fighting, and not even football playing. The Iraqi team was one of the most defeated teams, suffering heavy losses, losing all three matches against Norway, France, and Senegal, conceding 12 goals, and scoring only two goals, sharing this with the Tunisian team which also lost all three matches against Sweden with a harsh five-goal defeat, then by four goals from Japan, and three from the Netherlands, scoring only two goals. The Qatari team started the World Cup brilliantly with a 1-1 draw against Switzerland, but collapsed in the second match, losing 6-0 to Canada, before losing 3-0 to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Meanwhile, the best performance among the Asian Arab teams was that of the Jordanian team, despite losing all three matches: 3-0 to Austria, then 2-0 to Algeria, and 3-0 to Argentina, scoring a goal in each match. Arab distinction came from the Moroccan team, which continued its brilliance in the World Cup similar to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, finishing fourth, drawing with Brazil, then beating Haiti and Scotland in the group stage, in the round of 32 defeating the Netherlands on penalties, in the round of 16 beating Canada 3-0 before being eliminated by France 2-0, as happened in Doha four years ago. This was matched by Egyptian distinction after a draw with Belgium and a win over New Zealand, the only Egyptian win in their history of participation, then a draw with Iran, and in the round of 32 a win over Australia on penalties before a painful loss to Argentina 3-2, with the Egyptian team leading 2-0 before the water break.

Give me good words, maybe I can rest Or bad words, maybe I can forgive I didn't fall in your absence.. but everything fell With me and my patience.. and the ambition I aspire.
