Al-Ahly's first football team won 8-0 against Austrian side Pinzgau Saalfelden on Saturday in their first friendly match as part of preparations for the new 2026-2027 sports season.

Armenian Edward Spertsyan opened the scoring for Al-Ahly in the 29th minute, before Saleh Abu Al-Shamat extended the lead with the second goal in the 40th minute.

Just before the end of the first half, Ricardo Matias added the third goal in the second minute of stoppage time (45+2), ending the first half with a clean 3-0 lead for Al-Ahly.

In the second half, Al-Ahly continued their attacking dominance, with Mishal Al-Mutairi scoring the fourth goal in the 51st minute, before Ricardo Matias scored his second personal goal and the team's fifth in the 58th minute.

Yasin Al-Zubaidi added the sixth goal in the 62nd minute, while Moussa Abubakar sealed the goal fest by scoring the seventh and eighth goals in the 68th and 82nd minutes, confirming Al-Ahly's dominance with a resounding 8-0 win.

This match is part of the preparatory program set by German head coach Matthias Jaissle, aimed at improving the players' physical and technical readiness, preparing the team members before the start of official competitions, as well as giving the new signings a greater opportunity to integrate with the group and gain technical rhythm during the preparation period.
