Informed sources told Asharq Al-Awsat about the features of the list that Hatim Khaimi is preparing to run for the presidency of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation for the sixth term (2026-2030), coinciding with the Election Committee's announcement on Thursday of the timeline for the electoral process that concludes with the extraordinary general assembly meeting on August 30.

According to the sources, the list currently includes Abdulaziz Al-Ruwaili, Vice President of Al-Orobah Club; Abdulaziz Al-Anqari, former president of Al-Ahli Club; Dr. Khaled Abu Rashid, specialist in sports law; Mohammed Al-Khalifa, former president of Al-Khulood Club; Hassan Al-Yami, former player of Al-Ittihad and Najran; Saud Al-Hamali, captain of the Saudi youth national team that won the 1989 World Cup; Dr. Abdullah Al-Naeem, specialist in marketing and investment; in addition to a Swiss member, not yet identified, specializing in marketing and strategies.

Information indicates that Khaimi continues to work on completing his list, as he is currently in negotiations with a prominent figure from Al-Hilal to join it, while discussions between the two parties are still ongoing, along with his moves to attract a number of prominent administrative and sports figures.

The sources indicated that Khaimi continues to work on completing his list through intensive negotiations with an elite group of sports administrative figures and a number of former Saudi football stars, in preparation for announcing the final list before the candidacy deadline.

Hatim Khaimi has a great record in the history of Saudi football, as he enriched the Saudi league fields with his skills when he played for Al-Wehda Club, and he also headed the club last season and worked on many technical committees in some Saudi clubs in recent years.

He also worked as a technical analyst on the Rotana Khalijia network via the 'Koora' program presented by media figure Turki Al-Ajma for more than six consecutive seasons.

Asharq Al-Awsat had exclusively published on July 14 the details of the list that Muayyad Al-Shahri is preparing to run for the presidency of the federation, which included Munaf Abu Shaqeer, former Al-Ittihad player; Nabeel Naqshbandi, former sports commentator; Ahmed Al-Ghamdi, former executive director of Al-Nassr Club; sports lawyer Ahmed Al-Sheikhi; and Ali Al-Salahi, president of Qalwa Club, at a time when his consultations were continuing to complete the rest of his list members before the electoral program began.

The Election Committee of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation announced the opening of candidacy for the presidency and membership of the Board of Directors from July 22 to August 1, with applications to be examined from August 2 to 7, and the preliminary lists of candidates to be announced on August 8.

The committee set the period from August 9 to 13 to receive appeals and objections to the preliminary lists, with the Saudi Sports Arbitration Center to consider those appeals from August 15 to 23, before announcing the final decisions on them on August 24.

The program set August 25 as the final date for candidate withdrawals, with the final lists to be announced on August 26, after which election campaigns will run from August 27 to 29, before voting takes place during the extraordinary general assembly meeting on August 30 to elect the new Board of Directors for the sixth term.

Khaimi's list comes at a time when the elections are expected to witness strong competition between more than one candidate for the presidency of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, with consultations and contacts continuing to complete the electoral lists before the candidacy deadline.

It remains to be noted that Badr Al-Razizaa, Muayyad Al-Shahri, and Dr. Khaled Al-Ghamdi are preparing, alongside Hatim Khaimi, to enter the race to win the elections for the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation.
