Former player and Al-Wehda club president Hatim Khaimi announced via his account on platform 'X' his intention to consider running for the presidency of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation in the upcoming elections.

Khaimi said he will review all regulations and procedures applicable in such cases before making his final decision regarding candidacy.

Khaimi is considered one of the prominent sports figures who combined football experience as a player for Al-Wehda and the national team for over 25 years, and as a coach and club president for two terms during which he achieved successes that earned the satisfaction of Al-Wehda fans.

He is also a lecturer professor at Umm Al-Qura University, which gives him essential qualifications that boost his chances of winning the federation presidency.
