Mexican stars Julián Quiñones and Raúl Jiménez continued to make history in the 2026 World Cup, after joining legend Luis Hernández on the list of players who have scored 3 or more goals in a single World Cup edition.

Quiñones raised his tally to 4 goals, equaling the historic record set by Luis Hernández in the 1998 World Cup, while Jiménez reached 3 goals, becoming the third Mexican player to achieve this feat in a single World Cup.

This achievement reflects the attacking strength shown by the Mexican national team during the 2026 World Cup, after delivering one of its best historical performances in terms of scoring, thanks to the remarkable brilliance of its duo Quiñones and Jiménez.
