Emergency services were called to the stadium, but the worker could not be saved. He is believed to have 'died from a blow'. An investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances of the incident. The rebuilding of Camp Nou began three years ago but has faced delays due to licensing complications and complaints about working conditions, among other factors. The redevelopment project is currently focusing partly on the installation of a compression ring designed to support the stadium's roof structure. Work is expected to be completed by early 2028, with a capacity of 105,000 spectators, a record for European stadiums.
