Saudi club Al-Nassr has taken a decisive step regarding the future of its Colombian striker Jhon Durán, as the club's management informed the player's agent to secure a new offer in the coming days, or return to join the team's internal camp in Abha, preparing for the new season.

Al-Nassr begins its internal camp on Sunday, before heading to Lisbon, Portugal on July 25 for the external camp, which continues until August 5, as part of preparations for the upcoming season.

Al-Nassr's management seeks to close Durán's file as soon as possible, to give the coaching staff a clear vision regarding the list of players that will participate in the external preparation period, whether by keeping the Colombian striker or his departure permanently or on loan.

Al-Nassr had signed Durán during the winter transfer window in January 2025 from English club Aston Villa on a contract extending until summer 2030, a deal the club relied on to bolster its attacking project. However, the player later went out on loan, playing for Turkish side Fenerbahçe before moving to Russian club Zenit Saint Petersburg until the end of the 2026 season.

Al-Nassr's management presented the player with two clear options: either secure a new offer in the next few days, or return to training and join the Abha camp, pending an evaluation of his technical position before making a final decision on his future.

This move comes as the management seeks to reorganize the foreign player list, giving it greater flexibility during the summer transfer market, whether by making new deals or retaining current players according to the technical staff's needs.

Despite his short stint with Al-Nassr, Durán posted remarkable attacking numbers, scoring 12 goals in 18 matches for the team. However, his form declined during his loan spells: he scored 5 goals in 21 matches with Fenerbahçe, and then only 2 goals in 9 matches with Russian side Zenit. His future with 'Al-Alami' remains one of the most anticipated files during the summer transfer window.
