English football club Manchester City announced the extension of its contract with Phil Foden for four years until 2030.

Foden, who came up through the club's academy, has won 17 major titles with Manchester City, including six Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League.

Foden said: 'Playing for this club is all I ever wanted, and I am always honored to wear this shirt. I fully realize that I have been lucky enough to be part of a historic era full of titles, but we always look to the future and strive for more.'

Manchester City is preparing to start a new era after the departure of Josep Guardiola at the end of last season.

Enzo Maresca, former Chelsea head coach, has taken over coaching the team.

An agreement was reached on a deal to sign Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for £116 million ($155 million), according to reports.
