Arsenal, competing in the English Women's Super League, announced on Wednesday the signing of Spanish goalkeeper Misa Rodríguez, who captained Real Madrid last season, on a free transfer after 6 years with the Spanish club.
Rodríguez has represented Spain in 24 matches and was part of the squad that won the Women's World Cup in 2023 and the UEFA Women's Nations League the following year.
Rodríguez, 27, made 215 appearances for Real Madrid over 6 seasons.
Rodríguez said: 'I am very excited to join the team and take on this new challenge. I want to help them win titles.'
Arsenal, which finished last season in second place behind Manchester City, will begin their Premier League campaign when the competition starts in September.
