Al-Asayil Square in AlUla Governorate hosted camel races today, Saturday, initiated and organized by camel owners, with the participation of a number of owners and trainers.

The race organizers explained that the events included rounds dedicated to different age groups of camels, over various distances, as part of efforts to revive camel competitions during the summer vacation and encourage participation.

The organizers pointed out that symbolic prizes were allocated to the winners, in addition to increasing the number of rounds, to support the continuation of the races and preserve this sporting heritage.

At the conclusion of the races, prizes were awarded to the winners in various rounds in the presence of those interested in camel racing.
