The match will feature a special showdown between Argentina captain Lionel Messi (39) and Lamine Yamal (19), who is considered his heir at Barcelona.

Luis de la Fuente fielded the same line-up that beat France 2-0 in the semi-finals.

Spain's line-up is as follows:

Goalkeeper: Unai Simon. Defense: Pedro Porro, Pau Cubarsi, Aymeric Laporte, Marc Cucurella. Midfield: Rodri, Dani Olmo, Fabian Ruiz. Attack: Lamine Yamal, Alex Baena, Mikel Oyarzabal.

In contrast, Scaloni made three changes to the line-up that beat England 2-1 in the semi-finals.

He brought in Rodrigo De Paul and Nico Gonzalez in midfield instead of Leandro Paredes and Giuliano Simeone, while Gonzalo Montiel took the right-back spot instead of Nahuel Molina.

Argentina's line-up is as follows:

Goalkeeper: Emiliano Martinez. Defense: Gonzalo Montiel, Lisandro Martinez, Cristian Romero, Nicolas Tagliafico. Midfield: Rodrigo De Paul, Nico Gonzalez, Enzo Fernandez, Alexis Mac Allister. Attack: Julian Alvarez, Lionel Messi.

Argentina aim to win the title for the second consecutive time and fourth overall, after 1978, 1986, and 2022, while Spain seek their second world title after their first in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
