England footballer Jordan Henderson returned to his teammates in Kansas City after undergoing surgery on his broken arm, injured during celebrations after the win over Mexico in the World Cup round of 16. The 36-year-old slipped while trying to climb a barrier at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City, and later had surgery in Kansas City. Henderson wrote on Instagram Wednesday: 'Got the surgery! Now let's get ready for the big game Saturday!' The injury ended Henderson's participation with England during the tournament, but the former Liverpool captain remains part of Thomas Tuchel's squad for his leadership role. England face Norway in the quarterfinals in Miami on Saturday.
